We all hope to lead reasonably contented and fulfilling lives but sometimes things can be difficult and we can’t see a way through on our own. Counselling can help.
There are all sorts of reasons why people might seek the support of counselling: we may be feeling overwhelmed, sad, confused or flat; sometimes a particular event can affect our ability to cope; there may be experiences from our past which are affecting our happiness and enjoyment of life; we may be embarking on a challenging new life stage such as leaving home, starting or ending a relationship, becoming a parent, moving city or country, retiring; sometimes life may seem meaningless and we feel lost or stuck and need something to change.
Whatever the reason may be, it can really help to take some time and space for yourself to reflect on what you need to move forward.
In counselling you can explore difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences in a safe and confidential setting. You choose what you want to talk about and we will take things at your pace. By listening, asking questions and being supportive, I can help you understand your situation better. We can work together to find a way forward. You can begin to make positive changes in your life.
