I have a private practice offering personal and relationship counselling to individuals and couples in Bristol. I am currently working by phone and online, and hope to resume in person sessions as soon as possible.

We all go through challenging times when life can feel a struggle.  If we’re experiencing a problem in one area of our lives, it is likely to affect other areas too and sometimes it can be hard to seek support from those closest to us. Whether your concerns are about how you feel in yourself, or about difficulties in your relationships, your family or at work, counselling can help.

Counselling offers you a safe and confidential space where you can explore difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences. You can gain greater understanding and new perspectives on issues that may be troubling you, and begin to change unhelpful thinking and behaviour that affect your happiness and the quality of your relationships.

I see counselling as a collaboration between myself and my clients, where we work together to enable you to bring about positive change.  I take an active part in sessions, asking questions, exploring alternative perspectives, sharing reflections, and where it feels useful, discussing theory.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of theoretical frameworks and techniques according to what each unique client needs and wants. My approach is flexible and responsive.  I offer both short term counselling to help you develop strategies for specific difficulties you’re experiencing right now, and longer term work to explore and make sense of the impact of past experiences on current problems and empower you to improve your life as and how you wish.
